Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLRO

The GMT-Master II with a blue and red Cerachrom bezel in Oystersteel, with calibre 3285 for a second time zone.

The 126710BLRO is the GMT-Master II in Oystersteel with a two-colour Cerachrom bezel in blue and red, the colour combination that has marked the GMT-Master since 1955. After several years in which that bezel existed only in white gold, as the 116719BLRO, Rolex brought it back in steel in 2018. A two-colour ceramic insert is technically difficult to make, which explains why it took so long.

Calibre 3285 has an independently adjustable hour hand: on arrival in another time zone you move the local time forward hour by hour without disturbing the GMT hand or the minutes, and the date follows. The power reserve is about 70 hours. The case measures 40 mm and is water-resistant to 100 metres.

At its introduction the 126710BLRO came only on a Jubilee bracelet; since 2021 it has also been available on an Oyster bracelet. On a pre-owned example we look at the condition of the bezel and its click when turned, at the bracelet and clasp, at polishing marks on the case and at the set. The blue and black 126710BLNR is technically the same reference with a different bezel.
