The 126610LN is the Submariner Date that Rolex introduced in 2020 as the successor to the 116610LN. At first sight the difference is small, which is exactly the point with a Submariner. The case grew from 40 to 41 mm but looks slimmer because the lugs became narrower; the bracelet became slightly wider and therefore wears in better balance.
Inside is calibre 3235, with the Chronergy escapement and a power reserve of about 70 hours, against about 48 hours for the predecessor's calibre 3135. The black Cerachrom bezel with a platinum scale, the date under the Cyclops lens, the Triplock crown and the Oyster bracelet with Glidelock extension all remained. The watch is water-resistant to 300 metres. The same reference family also exists with a green bezel, as the 126610LV.
On a pre-owned 126610LN we look at the condition of the bezel insert, which hardly scratches but can crack from a hard knock, at the clasp and the Glidelock, at signs of polishing on the bevelled edges of the case, and at the completeness of the set. The guarantee card states the purchase date and therefore whether any manufacturer's warranty is still running.
