Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 126500LN

The current-generation steel Cosmograph Daytona, with a black Cerachrom bezel and chronograph calibre 4131.

The 126500LN is the steel Cosmograph Daytona that Rolex introduced in 2023, sixty years after the first Daytona. Its appearance deliberately stays close to its predecessor, the 116500LN: a 40 mm case, a black Cerachrom bezel with tachymeter scale, three sub-dials and screw-down pushers. The differences lie in the details, such as a slightly reworked case and sub-dials with thinner rims.

Inside is calibre 4131, a development of the 4130 with the Chronergy escapement and a power reserve of about 72 hours. The chronograph measures up to twelve hours, and the tachymeter scale converts a measured time into an average speed. The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and is worn on an Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel. The 126500LN exists with a white and with a black dial.

On a pre-owned example we test the chronograph completely: start, stop, reset and the running of the sub-dials. We also look at the condition of the bezel, the screw-down pushers and the crown, the bracelet and clasp, and the set. With a recent reference such as this one, the guarantee card usually shows remaining manufacturer's warranty.

Questions about the 126500LN

What is the difference between the 126500LN and the 116500LN?

The 126500LN has calibre 4131 instead of the 4130, with about 72 hours of power reserve, and a slightly reworked case and dial, including thinner rims around the sub-dials. Dimensions, bezel and bracelet are comparable.

Does the 126500LN exist with a white and with a black dial?

Yes. Which dial a watch has is stated in the description. Technically the two are the same; the choice is a matter of taste.

Can I sell or trade in my 126500LN with you?

Yes. You can offer a 126500LN as an outright sale, on consignment or as a trade-in against another watch. Every request is assessed by hand; a proposal only follows afterwards and is never guaranteed in advance. Read more in our guide to selling.

What if no 126500LN is available?

Then we search for one. Use watch sourcing to tell us which version, condition and set you are looking for. We will contact you as soon as we find a suitable example; whether and when that happens cannot be guaranteed in advance.
