The 124300 is the 41 mm Oyster Perpetual, introduced in 2020 as the successor to the 39 mm 114300. It is the simplest Rolex there is: hours, minutes and seconds, no date, a smooth bezel, and a case and bracelet in Oystersteel. That very simplicity makes the watch versatile, from office to holiday.
Calibre 3230, the same as in the Submariner without date, has the Chronergy escapement and a power reserve of about 70 hours; the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres. At its introduction, alongside the classic silver, blue and black dials, pronounced colours appeared too, including turquoise, yellow, coral red, pink and green. The dial determines the character of the watch, and the colour of each example is always stated in the description.
On a pre-owned example we look at the smooth bezel and the polished case flanks, on which wear is easily visible, at play in the bracelet and at the clasp, and at the completeness of the set. Anyone looking for a smaller size will find the same watch as the Oyster Perpetual 36.
