Frequently asked questions

Answers to your questions

The questions our clients ask most often about buying, selling, shipping and your account. Is your question not listed? We are glad to help you personally.

Buying

Can I pay for a watch online straight away?

No. We do not process online payments. You place a request without obligation through the basket; we confirm availability personally and only then send an invoice. Payment is made by bank transfer.

Is my request binding?

No. A request commits you to nothing. You decide only once we have confirmed availability and gone through the terms with you.

How do I know whether a watch is still available?

Every watch is a unique piece. The product page shows whether it is available, reserved or sold. Because a piece can become reserved in the meantime, we always confirm its current availability personally.

Are the watches checked for authenticity?

Yes. Before publication every watch is checked for authenticity, reference, serial number, condition, function and completeness of the set. We are an independent dealer and not an authorised retailer of the brands named.

Are the box and papers included?

Only what is stated for the watch in question. If the set is complete, the product page says so with the words “Full set”. Whatever we find, we state — including when the set is incomplete.

Can I view a watch first?

By arrangement you can view and collect a watch in person, by appointment. Please get in touch and we will gladly arrange it with you.

Selling, consignment and trade-in

Will I always receive an offer for my watch?

No. We appraise every request by hand. If your watch suits our collection, you receive a reasoned offer. We can never guarantee an offer, a valuation or acceptance on consignment in advance.

What is the difference between an outright sale, consignment and trade-in?

In an outright sale you sell your watch to us — the quickest route. On consignment we sell your watch on your behalf, aiming for the best market price. In a trade-in you bring in your current watch as value towards your next piece.

What do I need for a request?

Your contact details and the details of your watch: brand, model, reference, year, condition and whether the box and papers are present. The more complete your request, the more carefully we can assess its value.

What does consignment cost?

We always discuss the commission and the terms with you personally before we take your watch on consignment. That way you know exactly where you stand beforehand.

Shipping and returns

How is my watch shipped?

Carefully packed and by insured transport, so that your purchase is covered in transit. Collection in person by appointment is also possible. We agree the exact arrangement with you after confirmation.

Can I return my purchase?

Our watches are unique, pre-owned pieces that are thoroughly assessed and described before purchase. The conditions for returns and cancellation are set out in our returns policy.

Account and contact

Do I need an account?

No. An account is entirely optional. You can request a watch or offer your own without signing in.

What can I already do in my account?

You can manage your name and indicate whether you wish to receive promotions and updates. An overview of your requests and saved watches will be added in a later phase; no data is shown there yet.

How quickly will I receive a reply?

We generally respond to your message or request within one working day.
