The Aequator Collection

How we work

How we work

We deal in unique, carefully selected watches. That calls for a different approach from an ordinary web shop: every piece is inspected before it is published, and every purchase and request is handled personally.

How your purchase proceeds

A personal purchase, not an online checkout

We sell one-of-a-kind pieces. That is why we confirm every purchase personally rather than letting you pay straight away — so you can be certain that the watch you want is genuinely available to you.

  1. 01

    You place your request

Add the watch to your basket and complete the request. No online payment is taken and you are under no obligation.

  2. 02

    We confirm availability

Every watch is a unique piece. A specialist checks its current availability and contacts you personally.

  3. 03

    Payment after your approval

Once you agree, you receive an invoice. Payment is made by bank transfer — never through the website.

  4. 04

    Insured handover

Your watch is shipped discreetly and under insurance, or you collect it in person by appointment.

Before publication

What we inspect

No watch enters the collection without an inspection. Whatever we find, we state — including signs of wear or an incomplete set.

1

Authenticity

The genuineness of the watch, its parts, its finishing and its model characteristics.

2

Reference & serial number

The reference and serial number checked against the stated model.

3

Condition

Case, crystal, bezel, bracelet, clasp and visible signs of wear.

4

Function

Basic function, crown, date function, power reserve and complications.

5

Set

The presence and completeness of box, papers, card and accessories.

6

Presentation

A clear statement of the condition and any particularities.

Selling to us or through us

How we appraise your watch

Whether you sell outright, place your watch on consignment or trade it in, the process always begins with an appraisal by hand. A request commits you to nothing, and an offer follows only after that appraisal.

01

You submit your request

Share the details of your watch and your contact details through the form for the route that suits you.

02

A specialist appraises it

Every request is appraised by hand. There is no automated valuation and no automated offer.

03

We get in touch

You hear from us personally, through the channel you prefer — calmly, discreetly and without pressure.

04

Together we decide what follows

If your watch suits our collection, we discuss the offer, the terms and the handover.
