Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 126000

The Oyster Perpetual in 36 mm: the simplest Rolex, in Oystersteel, with calibre 3230 and a wide choice of dials.

The 126000 is the 36 mm Oyster Perpetual, introduced in 2020 together with the 41 mm 124300. The 36 mm size is the classic Rolex size and suits anyone looking for an understated watch that sits close to the wrist. Case, smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet are in Oystersteel.

Calibre 3230 has the Chronergy escapement and about 70 hours of power reserve, and the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres. The Oyster Perpetual has no date and no rotating bezel: the dial carries the character. At its introduction, pronounced colours appeared alongside silver, blue and black, including turquoise, yellow, coral red, pink and green. The number after the hyphen, as in 126000-0009, is Rolex's catalogue number and distinguishes those versions.

On a pre-owned example we look at wear on the smooth bezel and case, at play in the bracelet and at the clasp, and at the set. Because the reference exists in many dial colours, we always state the version for the watch. Anyone looking for a larger size will find the same watch in 41 mm; anyone who wants a date chooses a Datejust.

Questions about the 126000

What is the difference between the 126000 and the 116000?

The 126000 has calibre 3230 with about 70 hours of power reserve, against the 116000's calibre 3130 with about 48 hours. Both measure 36 mm and have no date.

What does the number after the reference, such as -0009, mean?

It is Rolex's catalogue number. It distinguishes versions within the same reference, chiefly the dial. The reference itself, 126000, is the same for all versions.

Can I sell or trade in my 126000 with you?

Yes. You can offer a 126000 as an outright sale, on consignment or as a trade-in against another watch. Every request is assessed by hand; a proposal only follows afterwards and is never guaranteed in advance. Read more in our guide to selling.

What if no 126000 is available?

Then we search for one. Use watch sourcing to tell us which version, condition and set you are looking for. We will contact you as soon as we find a suitable example; whether and when that happens cannot be guaranteed in advance.
