Rolex Datejust 41 126334

The Datejust 41 in Oystersteel with a fluted white gold bezel and calibre 3235.

The 126334 is the Datejust 41 in Oystersteel with a fluted bezel in 18 ct white gold, a combination Rolex calls Rolesor. The reference appeared in 2016, with the then new calibre 3235 and a 41 mm case that looks roomier than the classic 36 mm while keeping the same proportions.

The Datejust is the model with which Rolex introduced the date in a window on the dial in 1945; the Cyclops lens that magnifies the date was added in the 1950s. The 126334 keeps those elements and adds the technology of the current generation: the Chronergy escapement, about 70 hours of power reserve and water resistance to 100 metres. The choice of dials is wide, from silver and blue to grey and green, with indices or Roman numerals, and the bracelet is either an Oyster or a Jubilee.

On a pre-owned example we look at the bezel, because white gold fluting shows wear and polishing quickly, at play in the bracelet and at the clasp, and at the set. Anyone who prefers the classic size will find the same watch in a smaller format in the Datejust 36; the Datejust 31 is more compact still.

The 126334 exists with both. The Oyster bracelet with three broad links looks sportier, the Jubilee with five rows of smaller links more classic. Which bracelet a watch has is stated in the description.
