The Pelagos FXD, reference 25707B/21, was introduced in 2021 and developed with the combat divers of the French Navy, who had used Tudor dive watches since the 1950s. FXD stands for 'fixed': the strap bars are milled into the case, so the watch is worn only with a pass-through strap and cannot come loose if a bar were to break.
The 42 mm case is in titanium, the dial blue, and the bezel turns in both directions with a 60-minute scale intended for underwater navigation: divers use it to time the distance they cover on a given heading. The in-house calibre MT5602 has no date, about 70 hours of power reserve and a COSC certificate, and the watch is water-resistant to 200 metres. It is worn on a one-piece strap threaded through the fixed bars.
