The 7900V/110A is the 41 mm steel Overseas dual time, part of the third generation of the Overseas. Alongside local time it shows a second time zone with an additional hand, useful for anyone who travels often or works with another continent.
Otherwise it shares the features of the 4500V/110A: the bezel with notches evoking the Maltese cross, the integrated bracelet with links shaped like half a Maltese cross, and the system for changing bracelet and straps without tools.
Inside is the self-winding in-house calibre 5110 DT, a movement from the same family as the 5100 of the Overseas with date, extended with the second time zone. The movement is visible through the display back.
On a pre-owned example we check not only the ordinary functions but also the operation of the second time zone: setting both time zones and the date must be smooth and precise.
We also look for polishing marks on case and bezel, at the bracelet and folding clasp, and at the straps that belong with the watch. What a complete set includes is explained in our guide to box and papers.
